What’s the best time to visit Trancoso, Bahía, Brazil?

Brazil is one of the most exciting and expansive countries in the world; it is the biggest country in South America and the fifth largest, spanning 7,400kms of Atlantic coastline. It is in the northeast state of Bahia that you’ll find the exclusive beachside town of Trancoso, located in the district of Porto Seguro, almost 800kms to the south of the state capital Salvador.

Trancoso is notable firstly for its beaches, which are fringed with palm trees and close proximity to well-preserved areas of Atlantic rainforest dotted along the Discovery Coast. More recently it is on the radar of investors who consider it one of the most enticing areas to look for property for sale in Brazil.

Trancoso’s relative inaccessibility, compared to other more well-known tropical destinations ensures the town’s exclusivity, which is part of its charm for those who have visited and fallen in love with this beautiful beachside gem. Porto Seguro is the nearest airport, which receives regular flights from Rio de Janiero, the state capital Salvador and Sao Paulo. There is also a private jet and heliport at Terravista Airport, located 20 minutes outside Trancoso.

Best time to look for property for sale in Brazil

Any time of the year is a good time to search for your perfect piece of Trancoso real estate. This northeast part of Brazil, enjoys a warm all-year-round climate. You can expect temperatures in the summer to reach up to 84°F but don’t worry during the winter the days are still bright and sunny and the temperature rarely dips below 68°F. It is still possible to enjoy a swim in the clear blue sea at any time of the year.

However, as Brazil is in the southern hemisphere, the seasons are reversed, which means that the summer season is between December and March. It is during the high season when you can experience the majority of Trancoso’s festivals and Festa. Yet even in the winter time, the weather is still warm and inviting, there are just fewer people around.
