Corumbau is another peninsula, some 10km south of Caraíva. Although it may also be reached by driving to Prado and then back up north, the shortest route from Trancoso is to take a buggy from Caraíva and then cross over the river that joins the sea at the Ponta de Corumbaú. Home to two of the regions most exclusive boutique hotels, Corumbau is simply paradise albeit a very secluded one suited perfectly for those who really want to get away from it all.
